We are a leading manufacturer of energy efficient circulating temperature control equipment. For over 30 years we have been providing the highest quality equipment to manufacturers in many different industries. We are seeking a dedicated HVAC service technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assigned startup and repair of chillers and Temperature Control Units (TCUs) at customer sites.
-They have demonstrated a mastery of all types of units (Chiller, Oil, Water), and require little to no support in the field or with phone support.
-Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
-Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes of issues, and recommending appropriate repairs or corrective actions.
-Use diagnostic tools, instruments, and software to analyze system performance, diagnose problems, and adjust as needed.
-Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems used in chillers and TCUs, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and piping layouts.
-Repair and replace faulty components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, valves, and controls.
-Perform system tests, inspections, and performance checks to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications and standards.
-Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job, using electronic service reports and job tracking systems.
-Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the workplace and at customer sites.
-Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in HVAC technology, equipment, and best practices.
-Build and Test units in the shop as directed by the Service Manager and Production Manager.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Basic understanding of HVAC principles, refrigeration systems, and electrical circuits preferred.
-Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hands-on technical skills.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
-Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
-Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
-Always maintain a professional demeanor and dialog with customers.
-When in the field, must wear company shit and look clean and professional.
-Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
-Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines.
-Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
-Excellent attendance record.
-Demonstrate mastery of all types of units (Chiller, Oil, Water)
1040 hours (six months) of solo testing and/or field experience (not including travel time) for each type of unit.
