Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage the tax compliance and planning functions for our organization, ensuring adherence to all federal and state regulations. This role is crucial in optimizing tax strategies and minimizing liabilities while providing guidance on tax-related issues to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all tax compliance and reporting processes for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Prepare and review various tax returns, including 1040, 1120S, 1120, and partnership returns.
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, focusing on real estate and business structures.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members in the tax department.
• Collaborate with other departments, including finance and accounting, to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist clients with IRS and state audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.
• 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on public accounting and business consulting.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, particularly QuickBooks.
• Experience with various tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
