Tax Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing valuable insights to clients regarding their tax situations. This role requires a strong understanding of various tax forms and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1041) accurately and on time.
Review and analyze financial records to determine tax liabilities and maximize deductions.
Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
Assist clients with tax-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and accurate responses to their needs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and legislation changes that may impact clients.
Collaborate with other accounting professionals to ensure comprehensive financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation.
Strong knowledge of IRS tax forms including 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120S.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
