Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Ventura, CA. The ideal candidate will have a background in aerospace/aviation or medical devices and will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing processes. This role involves root cause investigation, audits, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and Quality Management System (QMS) metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct root cause investigations to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement CAPAs to address non-conformances and improve processes.
- Monitor and report on QMS metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and best practices.
- Ensure that all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in aerospace, aviation, or medical devices.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA regulations).
- Proven experience in root cause analysis, CAPA, audits, and QMS metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
