Title: Plant Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 + Bonus + Relocation $$
Founded in 1980s we are a prominent midsized manufacturer for a variety of industries across the US including medical device, heavy industrial, aerospace and automotive. We are a tier 1 supplier to some of the biggest brands in the US and we've increased our headcount by 16% over the past 2 years as we continue to expand our product line and gain market share. For this Plant Manager position you will oversee a large production facility with 200+ employees including multiple managers across all departments and will be responsible for spearheading all major events that take place in this facility. We are only considering individuals from mid to large size manufacturers who have the experience managing large budgets and interacting with C-suite individuals within the corporate structure of the organization.
What You Will Be Doing
1) Exceed P&L, safety, quality & on time delivery goals to keep customer satisfaction high
2) Conduct annual business planning & budgeting of the manufacturing plant
3) Drive continuous improvement in plant to exceed business objectives
4) Plan & forecast long term plans in a bid to increase the efficiency & profitability
5) Maintain safe working conditions, practices & good housekeeping of the plant (execute this through 5S & continuous improvement techniques)
6) Improve methods & processes to improve productivity, reduce costs & improve quality
7) Understand bottlenecks that limit production & take necessary corrective action
8) Ensure flow of materials to meet production needs
9) Ensure proper equipment and tools for workforce to complete tasks
What You Need for this Position
1) Bachelors in Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial is ideal
2) 10+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
3) 5+ years at the Plant Manager level overseeing a department of 100+ employees
4) Ability to navigate a P&L/budget & understand principles / concepts to research budget discrepancies
5) Proven leadership in industrial manufacturing setting
6) Strong root cause problem solving background in manufacturing
7) Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma experience ideal
