Sr. Building Technician

Position Overview
The Sr. Building Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC systems and other building infrastructure. This role ensures that all systems are functioning efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The technician will lead preventive maintenance efforts, troubleshoot issues, and oversee facility management to ensure optimal performance of all building systems.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and other mechanical systems.
Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics of building systems to identify and resolve issues.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all maintenance activities.
Assist in facility management tasks, including coordination of repairs and maintenance schedules.
Repair and maintain electrical and plumbing systems as needed.
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
Train and mentor junior technicians and staff on best practices and safety protocols.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management, with a focus on HVAC systems.
CFC Certification is required.
Experience with electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety compliance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Possession of a Master's license is a plus.
