Job Overview:
We are seeking a Director of QSF Distribution / Mass Tort to join our growing team. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management and distribution of funds in mass tort settlements, with a focus on Qualified Settlement Funds (QSF). The Director will work closely with clients, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of settlement distribution processes while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management and distribution of Qualified Settlement Funds (QSFs) for mass tort cases, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements to claimants.
- Oversee the administration of mass tort settlement processes, including claim validation, document review, and fund distribution, ensuring all procedures are efficient and compliant.
- Collaborate with legal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations and the timely resolution of any issues related to settlement distributions.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance distribution processes, improve efficiency, and minimize errors.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to QSFs, mass tort settlements, and fund distributions.
- Manage a team of settlement professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Monitor and manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for QSF distribution projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and clients, tracking the status of mass tort cases and ensuring transparency throughout the settlement process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mass tort settlements and QSF distributions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in settlement administration, mass tort cases, or legal project management, with a focus on QSF distribution.
- Strong knowledge of mass tort litigation, Qualified Settlement Funds (QSFs), and settlement distribution processes.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully managing teams and large-scale projects.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance in all aspects of the settlement process.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with settlement administration software and systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
