We're currently seeking a full-time, onsite Asbestos Abatement Coordinator based in Los Angeles, CA.
Provide technical support related to asbestos and lead issues across departments
Conduct site assessments and develop abatement plans for asbestos and lead materials
Review environmental consultant reports for accuracy
Survey project sites and recommend mitigation methods
Prepare estimates, job reports, and documentation
Monitor environmental compliance during construction
Investigate incidents related to asbestos/lead projects
Conduct sampling and testing to ensure safety standards are met
Maintain project tracking and documentation in Maximo
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
OR equivalent additional experience on a year-for-year basis in lieu of degree
Certifications:
AHERA certificates (Building Inspector, Management Planner, Contractor/Supervisor, Project Designer)
EPA Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Certification
CDPH Lead Certification (Inspector/Assessor/Project Monitor)
Experience (one of the following):
5+ years in construction involving asbestos/lead assessment and abatement
OR 2+ years in the same plus CA Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST)
OR Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) by the State of California
