- Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in order to manage client engagements while effectively controlling time and expenses.
- Develop and deliver tax planning techniques for clients while addressing their needs.
- Search for new opportunities from potential and existing clients and recommend suitable additional services.
- Communicate and interact with the clients advisors
- Support clients with management of state and federal tax audits and negotiate tax positions.
- Recognize technical issues and perform research reaching appropriate conclusions
- Tax memorandum preparations on technical issues.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions while identifying and documenting uncertain tax positions.
- Lead and supervise staff and seniors and provide them with career guidance.
- Have a background in engagement management and know how to manage all aspects of client accounts.
- Present internal and external training and seminars on technical issues.
- Participate in mentoring, training, retention and team-building activities.
- 6+ years working in the private equity space
- 704B and 704C allocation experience
- Waterfall allocation provision experience
- Buy-and-sell side
- Working on oilfield service
- Public accounting compliance and advisory skills.
- CPA Required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
- Reviewing and preparing individuals, corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, consolidated, and state returns.
- Proficiency with Tax research and preparation software such as Go Systems, BNA Income Tax Planner, GoFileRoom and Checkpoint or similar.
- Outbound and inbound transaction consulting, multi-national corporation experience, foreign tax credit utilization, tax minimization and transfer pricing, is preferred.
- Research and compliance.
- US GAAP Knowledge.
- Building, interfacing and managing clientele base.
- Supervisory, organizational, problem solving, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Managing projects and presentations.
- Salary: $200k - $300k
