Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our accounting and financial operations. The Controller will manage accounting processes, ensure compliance with GAAP, and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the accounting team and ensure efficient financial operations
• Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX
• Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and job costing to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare project billing and lien waivers in a timely manner
• Provide financial planning and analysis to support business initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial performance and project profitability
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with construction accounting and job costing
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage and Quickbooks
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
