Salary Range: $70K-$80K, Bonuses, Auto Allowance, Medical, 401K, PTO/Vacation
Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in the construction of custom homes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role requires strong knowledge of homebuilding and residential construction, as well as exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to plan and schedule construction projects, including coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential delays or issues, communicating with the Superintendent and taking appropriate action to keep the project on track
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality standards are being met and work is being completed according to plans and specifications
- Assist with budget management, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities- Manage and maintain project documentation, including permits, contracts, and change orders
- Assist with the hiring and supervision of subcontractors and other construction personnel as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on the job site
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Superintendent and other team members on project status and progress
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in custom homebuilding or residential construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Understanding of budget management and cost control principles
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred
